NIC Branding
Company: Frito-Lay
Project: Logo Creation and Monitor Sticker Design
Description: Frito-Lay employed me to create a new logo and basic branding package for a new internal company service that they were launching. They wanted to encourage internal discussion amongst employees across the globe so I had to take into consideration branding and colors that worked internationally, business centric concepts, branding that worked within already established internal branding guidelines while also projecting a friendly and constructive vibe. They wanted to promote the idea by giving out stickers that could somehow fit onto monitors as a reminder to employees to use this new service.
Solution: I wanted to focus on the idea of “sparking a conversation” so I created the logo to reflect how sharing different ideas can create something new. The different color speech bubbles represent conversations from various employees around the world and where they overlap there is a spark of new ideas. This calming color scheme will make employees comfortable about this new service while not being too distracting on their monitor. The font is easy to read for non-native English speakers and also has a web font so it work easily on internal company websites.
