Description: Del Mar Blue is a locally-owned printing service. They wanted to update their site to make it easier for their clients to submit and upload content. I was contracted through Binary M to punch up their site design while they handled the new upload service.

Solution: I looked at Del Mar Blue’s competitors and realized that many of them had boxy, beige designs so Del Mar Blue’s site didn’t stand out. I felt it was important to create rounded corners and a more organic feel to their site. I thought that their current layout of content was smart and I felt that any layout changes could confuse and upset their current clientele, so I kept their original front page layout but replaced the four boxes on the bottom with actions for their new online services. I felt that their menu was a little cluttered, so I moved some of the pages into a sidebar menu on the interior pages. I felt that this helped the flow of clients through the site.
